altramarine 21
Hi there, Is there anyway I could "unmark" a certain title from displaying in "Latest" at the server level? I converted a few of my Blue Rays to digital form for MediaBrowser. These titles are old (1980s) and I'd rather not have them appear as "Latest". Many thanks! Solution AgileHumor 123 Posted September 1, 2014 Solution Share Posted September 1, 2014 (edited) Edit the "Date added:" for the item in the MetaData Manager. Some date farther in the past. Edited September 1, 2014 by AgileHumor
altramarine 21
Awesome! This works! I may request this to be a feature that doesn't modify "Date Added" Thank you!
ebr 14910
Awesome! This works! I may request this to be a feature that doesn't modify "Date Added" Thank you! Since we dynamically react to file system changes without you having to "import" anything, the date added is the date in your file system. So there is nothing for us to not modify. FrostByte 5049
You could also mark it as "Played" so you don't have to modify any dates in the metadata manager
altramarine 21
Great, thanks for the info guys, I tried marking it "Played" but that that does not remove it from the "Latest" section. How long does a title remain marked as "Latest"? Edited September 1, 2014 by altramarine
ebr 14910
Until something else replaces it.
AgileHumor 123
Until more movies with a newer Last Added date crowd it to the problem. Just change the Date Added as the ideal workaround IMHO

I must be missing something then because in the web client if I mark a movie as played and hit refresh it no longer shows in under latest and all the other movies move up one Edit: nm, you must be talking latest under media. Within movies this definitely works with latest Edited September 2, 2014 by FrostByte

Thanks again! That's because "Latest" in MBC means all latest regardless of watched state. Change that Recent list option to "Unwatched" and it will only show you unwatched ones. Most themes have three different possibilities for that list - Latest, Unwatched and Watched.

I wish MBT in particular had that option. I would like to keep the items in latest even when watched - had to explain to the missus yet again yesterday where the new movie had gone after the kids had watched it once... It's especially a pain in MBT since scrolling through a large library is a pain at the moment.
