MBC Crash When Hitting "Guide" Button

I usually use the guide button on my remote to quickly get to live tv. I've noticed over the weekend it causes MBC and/or WMC to crash to the point I have to force close it.

 

I attached the log after force closing this morning.

You pasted a shortcut to your machine instead of an actual file.

 

However, if WMC or MBC is crashing then we'll need the windows event log error anyway.

 

I haven't seen this (but I don't have live tv in WMC) nor seen it reported before.

Ok. It just seemed like a coincidence with MBC as it's just always worked for me up until this weekend.

Try uninstalling .Net framework then reinstall.
