techywarrior 688
Posting on behalf of my friend MB3 was setup and working. Could play movies and TV episodes in web client and iPad app. Changed external HDs. Removed old locations from library and added new. Performed library scan. Now most movies and some TV shows won't start in web client or iPad app. This seems to be the case for all/most files that need to be transcoded (too many files to confirm 100%). In both the web client and iPad app it basically just sits there waiting for the file to load. No transcode log is created on the server and no files appear in the transcoding temp folder. I happened to be trying to help him debug and had a movie open (but not actually starting/playing) in the web client when we restarted the MB3 server. As soon as the server restarted the movie started. So it seems like something (ffmpeg?) is hanging and not reporting anything. There isn't much in the server log at the time playback is attempted but here is the snippet 2014-09-02 12:37:07.9366 Debug - HttpServer: HTTP GET http://MB3SERVER:8096/mediabrowser/Users/5615c81ee866f2f5e650896f2f2d751e/Items?Ids=77c7dde243b04d7c45b2059a1accb3d2&Limit=100&Fields=MediaSources%2CChapters&ExcludeLocationTypes=Virtual Ip: CLIENTIP:61999. chrismp 0
I am having a similar problem; however, I didn't make any changes to my drives. One day everything worked well and the next day most movies won't play. I can't figure out why. Any help on this would be appreciated.
