shavid0610 0
Hi I regularly use the Recently Added Unplayed list to choose a movie from the movies I have most recently added to my collection. However, after the most recent update this list is now showing my movies in reverse alphabetical order. I assume during the update all my movies were re-added to Media Browser in alphabetical order so now it thinks the most recently added are those starting with Z etc. Is there any way to make the program recognise the actual date I added the movie to the collection so I have an accurate recently added list? ebr 14912
No update of ours would have modified your added dates. Added dates in Media Browser are read directly from the file system creation date or external metadata files created by other products. Either one of those could be the culprit. shavid0610 0
Hi I have checked the Meta Data and the dates are recent as I recall I actually re-fetched the meta data recently to update the rating classification to the correct Australian ratings. The added dates in Windows Explorer are the actual dates the files were added. Is there any way to have Media Browser recognise these dates rather than when the meta data was updated? ebr 14912
The date you updated the metadata is inconsequential BUT there is a piece of metadata that will override the file system dates if it is there. If this is filled in, we will use it regardless of the file dates and some other products may have filled that in.
shavid0610 0
OK Thank You As a workaround I edited the Meta Data of the movies most recelty added to a date after the date I updated all the meta data and they are now showing in the recently added list. Something for me to keep in mind if I ever need to update the meta data again but all my collection has Australian ratings now so I should be good Thank you for your time
