altramarine 21
Hello, I am trying to get Subtitles/Audio selection working in MediaBrowser Classic using ffdshow & Media Control using this guide. I followed that guide and while I have not really gotten Media Control working just yet, I've now realized something went wonky with my playback: MBC no longer plays anything, playback gets stuck at 0:00. I started uninstalling all the components that were required by the above guide (which are not many) and narrowed it down to ffdshow 64bit being the culprit of the issue. Installing ffdshow 32bit instead returns my playback to normal. Unfortunately, I need the 64bit version of ffdshow because Media Control complains about it's absence during installation. Any clues as to why ffdshow 64bit will not work for me? My details: Windows 7 64bit Media Browser Server: 3.0.5395.0 Media Browser Classic: 3.0.207.0 Installed components as per above guide (youtube): Lav splitter 0.63.0 (both 32bit and 64bit) ffdshow 1.3.4531 64bit Media Control 6.0.15 64bit Win7DSFilterTweaker 5.9 set as: Thank you! maximus1 2
i suggest to remove lav, and all the other tools and install shark007 codec pack. for configuration read the following thread and choose the correct settings for your needs. http://shark007.net/forum/Thread-Advanced-settings-with-subtitles-in-almost-all-video-formats-and-MCP-use-possible Edited October 14, 2014 by maximus1
altramarine 21
Thanks Maximus1, I looked into Sharkcodes and it appears like a sound way to go about it. I just want to see if I can "fix" my current setup before introducing a codec pack and complicating things even further.
