Newalpost 5
I have two systems each setup with their own Client and Server. I'd like to be able to get the client on either machine to be able to log in to either it's own server or the server on the other machine. Is this possible and how do I do it? ebr 14863
I do this with my laptop. Go into the configurator on each machine and point it to "localhost". Now, when either client starts up it will try to connect to the server on localhost. If it isn't running there, it will look for any other one on the network. If the other one is running it will find it.
Newalpost 5
Thanks for the reply. I think I understand what you say. Presumably if the servers are running on both machines then one would need to be stopped so it's client is restarted it can then find the other one - is that right? ebr 14863
Well, if the local one is running, it will find that first (because that's where you pointed it). If you want it to work the other way around (find the remote server first) then configure each client to point to the other machine.
