The reason for the question, I have a few 8GB plus movie files and when I stream them to a ChromeCast device the movie intermittently pauses. My network is a an 802.11n setup and the server has 8GB of ram. If I upgrade my network to an 802.11ac network I don't feel it'll work any better cause ChromeCast isn't 802.11ac compatible. So I'm thinking either the ram in the server needs to be increased or I need to sample my Blu Rays to produce a smaller file size. Any guidelines or standards? Thanks!
