I am unable to get the sort order on the EHS to show in the same way as it does in the browser.

As you can see in the pic, the sort order I want is this

TV

HD Movies

35 Movies

SD Movies

Trailers

I cut it of to high, so it doesn't show the Music, Adult or ITV folder

I'd also like to have Movies by genre underneath SD movies and before trailers... But as far as I am aware, both of these are currently only displayed at the bottom of the list within the MB Client in media centre.

In the media centre client, the lists shows as this

As you can see, the 3D folder is set below the adult one, instead of under the HD movies folder.

I've set my order in preferences... but it only applies to the browser and I can find no other configuration method for the MB client in media centre.

To change the order in MBC you need to use the Sort Name field.  Edit each folder and enter an appropriate name to make it sort in the order you wish.

There isn't much you can do about "Movies By Genre" though because it doesn't exist on the server.  The only thing you could do is somehow name the other items such that "Movies By Genre" falls in the right place.

Cheers @@ebr I've managed to sort them so TV shows are at the top, them movies by genre, and then the rest of them in the order I wanted... I couldn't figure a way to get the genre one to come in between the others.

Now for another question I've just thought of...

Is there a way to stop movies by genres adding stuff from one of the other movie folders. I only wanted movies from the HD/SD folders collated in there as the few 3D ones I have are only an experiment for the new TV and are duplicates of movies I already have in a non 3D format. For the 3D movies to be marked unwatched... it automatically unmarks the other one too. Would it be better to rename the 3d ones with a 3D tag?

That is two completely different things.

1) No, it will show you all movies indexed by genres.

2) We track user data (including watched status) by provider ID (tmdb) so that it is retained if you physically move the item so two different versions of the same film are still the same film - whether marked 3D or not.
