MB Connect and VPN's

I have not tried out MB Connect yet, in fact I haven't even looked at it. But I'm wondering if it solves the issue of connecting from behind a VPN.

How would I go about trying this? I assume I set it up and then leave my home network and try to connect while my server is connected to the VPN?

And if I can't connect do I assume that it doesn't work through a VPN, or is there something else I need to set up?

Edit: After going to the download page, it appears there is no support yet for the Android app, so I guess testing this away from my home network will be difficult. Probably have to install MBT on a laptop and go to a Starbucks.

I'm running WHS 2011, and MS gives you a free forwarding address (https://name.home server.com I think).

Thanks for any tips.

From the announcement post:

Try the Hosted Web Client

We now have a hosted version of the web client at:

http://app.mediabrowser.tv

Simply use your Connect (forum) login, and then you can access any of your servers (owned or shared).

I tried this, both from my laptop and my android tablet, both using Chrome, the laptop on my home network, and my phone connected to 4G (disconnected from the home network), and I only get a page that shows the title "media browser.TV" with a link below that says "home".

Clicking that link takes me to the MB downloads page. Is the page down, or am I doing something wrong? Or does it have to do with my VPN?
