Live TV using NextPVR via Xbox one (Web client)

Hi All

 

I am using the web client on my Xbox One and for the most part it works very very well and has passed the Wife test <phew> however, the live tv isn't working well and I have a few questions.

 

1: How do I change the guide? It currently defaults to the 'all channels' mess and I'd like to use the one I setup that only has the channels I want to see.

 

2: The channel up/down takes an age to work, if it works at all. Are there any tips to speed it up?

 

3: About 1/2 the time, selecting a channel ends up in a blank (dark grey) screen. moving back only works when you get all the way back to the login screen. Am I doing it wrong?

 

If it helps, NextPvr is installed on the same Windows 8.1 PC as MB Server.

So I can see if something is wrong with the guide.....

For the moment you can only see all channels. No channel groups available...

Sorry for the delay, I will get some logs posted at some point.

 

Still having the above issues and I am also having another issues now;

 

Nearly all recordings and live TV from HD channels are playing back using the Audio Descriptive audio. With the recordings I can switch audio but am unable to on live TV. It is driving me round the bend.

 

Does anyone have any idea as to what I've done wrong?

I've attached the server log along with the last 9 transcode logs.

 

I think my problem is wider spread than just the Xbox

 

On the Xbox (via Internet Explorer) 

Can play Live TV and Recordings but the delays are massive. If I want to skip forwards or backwards it can take more than 5 minutes to start playing again. Also, HD recordings and channels default to playing with the Audio description on.

 

Android App (via HTC One M8)

Can't play live tv or recordings. I either get a blank screen or a failed to play type of message.

 

On my WIndows 8.1 PC9 (Media Browser Theatre) - MB Server/NextPVR Server

Can play recordings fine (direct play) but Live TV fails with an error stating 'failed to process the request'

 

On my WIndows 8.1 PC9 (Chrome) - MB Server/NextPVR Server

Can play recordings but defaults to playing the audio description feed. Live TV works and is transcoding but also uses the audio description by default.

 

I hope that is of use.

I also see errors like this "The specified network name is no longer available".

Any problems on your network?

Do you use DLNA? If not can you disable that feature?

I see some error in the logs, not easy to read if you don't use it.

 

I also see you are using Android App / MBT. But i don't know how it's implemented... And if that's all OK are not...

Thanks for sticking with me, I do use dlna as a way of watching my films via the xbox without them being transcoded. I'm happy to turn it off if that helps you?

It would be easier, so you don't see the errors for dlna. And i am also not a ffmpeg expert. So i try to do my best....
