genro 4
Hi, @@krustyreturns, @@Luke First of all thank you for ServerWMC I think it's a great idea and hope to see it become a full replacement to needing to use WMC for live tv. I've played with it off and on over the last 6 months but each time I've run into a few issues that I was hoping to get an idea if they've been changed/resolved. Specifically -What clients currently support LiveTV? I know Web (and I think Android)? -When streaming it always would transcode; but I thought support was added for streaming via DLNA? What clients does that work with if so. -Any options to have it so that it will direct stream/play in some of the clients that can easily support that (e.g. Windows 8 app should allow this, since I can direct stream via the HDHomerun View app)?-Does ServerWMC now properly detect busy tuners (that may be used by other applications/PCs such as WMC) and use the next free one? I recall an issue with this but I think it was resolved. Thank you again for your work on getting Live TV working with MB. krustyreturns 191
I know the answer to some of these: -When streaming it always would transcode; but I thought support was added for streaming via DLNA? What clients does that work with if so. Using dlna doesn't mean there is no transcode, it just means that the tuner output is sent directly to MBS without any stream processing in swmc. -Does ServerWMC now properly detect busy tuners (that may be used by other applications/PCs such as WMC) and use the next free one? I recall an issue with this but I think it was resolved. Yes.

I think for me then, the ideal state is when all the clients (most?) support Live TV and when possible do not do any transcoding. I know that's not a ServerWMC issue.
