acsparky 0
When watching on the main pc in mbc I can stop a video and "resume" playback with no issue. When I stop a video on the pc then move to the extender the resume picks up where the pc left off no problem. If I stop playback on the extender then resume on the extender, the video starts from the beginning. If after this I return to the pc, resume picks up from where the original "bookmark" was on the pc before moving to the extender and messing around. I should say I am inside the min/max parameters for resume, the extender is an Xbox, and the codecs I am using are ffdshow tryout for video and lav for audio and splitter, and the file is a h.264 in m4v. Thanks in advance.
BAS 225
This usually always comes down to 2 things for extenders. File incompatibility / codecs or trying this. I believe extenders don't like resuming the same thing right away. So like you said it resumed from the pc point. then you stopped and went right back to the same file and tried to resume. Try this instead, start something on the extender to get it to a resume point, stop it. Now start something else and get it to a resume point, stop it. Now go back to the first item you started and try resuming it. My experience has been if you try to resume something that u had just started, even though you had stopped it its still in windows media center as an active file but if you would play something else then come back to this file it will resume. acsparky 0
Your suggestion did work but I have to go to another movie before the bookmark transfers to the htpc. Seems like an issue that wouldn't be difficult to fix in a future release. Is this a work around I have to live with for now on the Xbox as an extender?
