Hi,

I configured in metadata section to download disc art, but MB3 doesn't seem to download them automatically even though the disc art exist in fanart.

Do I need a plugin or manually run a certain task to let MB3 to download disc art?

Thank you!

if it was unchecked the first time your media was scanned, then after changing the options you'll need to refresh manually.

Hi Luke,

The refresh seems to work for movies but not for music. Does the disc art downloader work for music?

I've been seeing some oddities with the music data fetchers as well. Since I'm rebuilding my music library I'll have the opportunity to document various combinations I'm seeing and hopefully narrow down if/where there's a problem. I believe I've seen the FanArt failure as well, but will wait to verify it for sure. One thing I've already noticed is that even I have Music Album metadata downloaders set to MusicBrainz before TheAudioDB, if the album is only identified on MusicBrainz and not TADB, the album description will not download. Are there certain metadata elements that are configured to only download from one source or the other? I was trying to look for the fetcher source code last night to figure that out so I know if this is a bug or intentional.

yes

Hmm, tried to refresh/advanced refresh the music library, individual artist and individual album but it seemed to me that MB is not fetching disc art even though I could download them manually when I browse the images.

the manual download displays all images. the automatic download is going to utilize your image language settings as well as whether the disc image is enabled or not in metadata settings.

Hi Luke, I made it to work with single album, but when I refresh from the root music library, it doesn't seem to work.

Should the advanced refresh from the root music download missing images for both artists and albums?

Thank you!

I am just looking at the metadata manager and music for the first time, I selected an artist "James Blunt" and it displayed my existing local artwork I had a Primary, a Logo and 1x Backdrop.

I then clicked "Browse Images" button and selected banner from the drop down list and I could see there were two banner images available online that I did not currently have. I closed this window without manually clicking on the download button and went back to the artists metadata area.

I then identified the artist and left the "Replace existing images" checked, after it had finished I believe the logo changed to a different one, but I still had no banner for this artist.

I then click the Advanced Refresh button and with "Download Missing Images" selected pressed OK. When this finished I still had no banner images being downloaded for the artist.

So its not downloading the missing images?

This artist does have both a MusicBrainz and TheAudioDB ID present.

Thanks

EDIT: Sorry you can ignore this I did not have Banner selected in the Dashboard - Metadata - Services - Music Artists - Images

I checked this here and now its working.
