Watched status not sticking.

For the life of me I can't figure out why the watched status won't stick. My main client is a Windows 8.1 HTPC that houses the server and Kodi, but I also have a FireTv running the android client side loaded, and a couple other clients using the web client.

It seems like every time I open a client different random TV episodes are marked as watched and not watched. I thought it might have been trakt being screwy with the new api, but it still happens after uninstalling it.

I can't find anything similar on the forums. Has anyone seen anything like this?

my guess would be trakt, perhaps give it more time. if you can come up with a specific example that will be helpful too. also check the kodi metadata option that syncs watch state to nfo's. is it possible another program is saving nfo's and not respecting the watch data?

i have only had problems with the samsung client seemingly (unconfirmed by peer review) prematurely marking content as watched.

can you reproduce the issue?

Ok, so after my post the only activity was watching one show via the web client and one through Kodi. Both shows were marked as watched automatically upon completion. This morning I woke up to about ten episodes that had been previously watched as not having been.

One episode that always seems to pop up is this: (nfo)

<episodedetails>
  <title>Nicole Kidman, Patton Oswalt, the War on Drugs</title>
  <season>2</season>
  <episode>2</episode>
  <aired>2015-01-06</aired>
  <plot />
  <displayseason />
  <displayepisode />
  <thumb>http://thetvdb.com/banners/episodes/270261/5089307.jpg</thumb>
  <watched>false</watched>
</episodedetails>

I checked others and watched is always false. MB is set to use Kodi nfos first and set to sync.

Edit: Apparently if you give the server permission to edit files on the share things just work better.
