chillzatl 1
I've got a fair amount of 3d rips. I have my 3d content separated into its own group, but the content type is still movies. On my main Tv, which is 3d capable and using WMC with a 360 extender, the 3d content is separated from my regular library. You only see the 3d movies if you select 3d movies on the menu. I have several other 360 extenders and obviously this carries over to those as well, but on my other clients (windows 8.1 app, ipad app, browser, windows phone app, dlna on xbox one) if I select movies, the 3d content is included with the other movies and there's no clear way to differentiate it without playing it first. Is there any way to hide the 3d content on specific clients, either on the client side or server side?
ebr 14905
In the web client click on your user icon and select "My Prefrences". Then in the list of media folders under "Automatically group content..." un-check your 3D media folder. This will cause it to not get lumped in with all the other movies. Any way to do this in the other clients or should I go to the forums for those individually?
ebr 14905
What other clients? Most of them should be using the same views.
chillzatl 1
What other clients? Most of them should be using the same views. All others that I have available to me to test, Windows 8.1, DLNA, Windows phone and the ipad. I'm working from a desktop right now. If I log into the web browser, after changing it as you suggested, and a click on Movies. I don't see the 3d movies included with the overall movie listing. I have to go to the main menu and click 3d movies to see those rips at all. From the same system, if I launch the Windows 8.1 app and click on movies, everything is merged. I can still click 3d movies from the main to see only the 3d movies, but those movies are still being included in the overall movie listing. There doesn't seem to be a way to tell it to not automatically group the content together as there is from the web client. ebr 14905
Okay, then I guess the 8.1 app is not using those views. Sorry, I thought it was. I'm not surprised about the iPad but I am surprised that The 8.1 app, Windows phone aren't. @@7illusions @@ScottIsAFool Are you sure about DLNA? I'll be really surprised if that's not using the views properly.
