No Sound - iPad Client

Not sure if this is the same fault some others have been having but I've got an issue with sound on my iPad.

 

Basically, I cannot get any sound to come out of the app on any of the files I have.

 

What I have tried:

-- Reinstalling the app on the iPad

-- Putting the ringer volume to max

-- Putting the app volume to max

 

none of the above have worked.

 

I can load the web interface through Safari on the same iPad and everything plays with sound correctly.

 

For reference it's an iPad Air 2 on the latest iOS version

 

Is there anything obvious I can try as it's essentially useless at the minute?

Two things come to mind.

 

1) Do you have the mute switch on?

2) Do other apps have sound other then Music and web interface?

1) It doesn't have a mute switch (!).  My last iPad did but I think they've removed it with the AIr

2) A quick check shows that the built-in Videos app has sound as does the YouTube app

Ugh, just on the off-chance I was being an idiot I checked the mute setting in the 'control center' (?) and it was set.  Unmuted it there and it works fine so thanks for the prompt (though I probably should have known better :D )

 

Surprised that other apps did have sound though...?
