pir8radio 1292
Is there or can there be some kind of "keep alive" added to the Roku app? I leave my roku connected 24-7 with no screen saver, it is streamed over an HD CATV modulator to the whole house. I use the mirror mode within media browser to select movies and have the info pop up on the TV's when i don't have the roku remote near... But if i let it sit the Roku disappears from my list of media browser devices, until i hit a button on the roku... can this be done? Thanks. CBers 6771
Doesn't the Roku just go to sleep after a period of inactivity?

dansblackcat 37
Doesn't the Roku just go to sleep after a period of inactivity? Yeah correct the Roku 3 does...well it's meant to. It enters a low power standby mode. Its awake enough to check and receive firmware and channel updates but I'm not sure what else . Also that's why there's no on/off button on the remote or the device. I'm unsure if you can disable this feature.
pir8radio 1292
oh so the screen would still display the media browser client as normal, the unit just shuts off the wifi and what not? Thats possible i guess.. because that's what mine does, it will still show the media browser client 24-7, then when i move left or right it shows up in media browsers list of devices... but my unit never dims the screen or shuts off.. Mine shows the word ROKU bouncing around the screen like a game of Pong, I guess it's a screen saver of sorts. Maybe this can be disabled in the Roku settings menu allowing you to still see MediaBrowser?
