saitoh183 137 Posted March 4, 2015 Share Posted March 4, 2015 I dont know how it happens but it i was logged in to my server via MB connect in W8 app and i could see the offline files. Then i closed the app and disconnected from the network, re-opened and i was presented with MB connect login screen and when click on offilne, there is no profile to choose. I just dont understand how access to offline work. Most time i get the profile selection when i start the app, other times its totally blank. Second issue, i notice that when i close the app (pull down the app via touch or using mouse), i look in task manager and its still open. Then i have to kill it to get the app working again. If i open it while it was still open in task manager, it will just hang and i will have to close it again or even a few more times or kill it in task manager. I synced a number of items to my tablet to take camping with me this weekend, from two different servers. When I went to open the app, no profiles were shown even though I had checked this before leaving (albeit when the tablet was still connected to wifi). Luckily I was able to navigate to the sync folder and play the files in Xbox Video from there, but it seems that currently offline support is pretty buggy. Vicpa 552 Posted March 9, 2015 Share Posted March 9, 2015 Hi, A couple of observations from my experience. I don't use Connect so that may be the difference. I have no trouble closing and reopening the app. Never had to kill it in the task manager. I think it needs to be running for sync to run in the background. Like I said I don't use connect. I don't log out of the app. When I go offline (airplane mode for testing) I open the app and go right to my offline content. This is expected behavior on my part. There does seem a lot of complexity (unnecessary?) around accessing offline content with multiple login functions Connect, Standard and easy pin. etc. As noted the content can be navigated to an played so I guess I miss the point of all the security around it. I am not a tablet user however. Can you have multiple users like on a laptop? The content is the secured at the user level and you are good to go. If not I guess it could be an issue.
