Goto the Accounts section of settings on your device and make sure the MediaBrowser account has sync enabled.

I have found that unless the MB Android app is open and connected to the server while I am attempting to configure the server to upload, I get the message you are getting.

I am having issues as well. All is set up on the server and it has uploaded about 10 images, but thats it.  I can't seem to force it to upload more.  I have two sync accounts and i have enabled both just as a test. I can force a manual sync but other than that it doesn't seem to try.
