LegioX 2
Hi, I have a question about the Video Bookmark plugin. I would like to be able to connect it to my Hikvision IP cameras, but these only support RSTP, not RTMP. The Video Bookmarks plugin only supports RSTP, FILE & HTTP. Could RSTP support be added to the plug-in?
LegioX 2
Bump I'm not a developer so I don't know how hard it is get this to work, but I would be happy to pay for a plug-in that did allow me to access RSTP feeds (and I'm sure there are other users that would like to be able to do this as well)... anyone? LegioX 2
Sure - how do I do that?
Cheesegeezer 3086
Sure - how do I do that? Don't worry, it's when any dev alters the code who doesn't own it and then submits it to the Repo to be pulled as a change by the Author.

Do you have info on RTMP? cheers, i could have a look and sort it, if it's straight forward, but i'm busy with Iridium Theme at the moment so if it's too complicated, it'll have to wait. LegioX 2
Sorry if it wasn't clear from my first post. Yes, that's exactly what I'd like - 'Video Bookmarks' supports RTMP (which seems an unusual format) but doesn't support RSTP (which is by far the most common format/container for IP cameras). Why would this be so difficult? VLC supports it, could this be linked somehow?
Cheesegeezer 3086
Sorry if it wasn't clear from my first post. Yes, that's exactly what I'd like - 'Video Bookmarks' supports RTMP (which seems an unusual format) but doesn't support RSTP (which is by far the most common format/container for IP cameras). Why would this be so difficult? VLC supports it, could this be linked somehow? I don't think it need to be added to our side, well maybe the server could transcode your streams, but in order for you to play direct you would need to install a codec. Having googled this, it appears that RTMP can't be found as a standalone codec and VLC is the only player that supports this format natively(as a media player). However the LAV Codec pack (which is installed when installing MBT) now has support for RTMP. Here is info from tracker for LAV Updated LAV Filters to 0.63-18-ad5f01c (custom build based on 0.63-12-62f5a08). Important changes: LAV Splitter: Support librtmp parameters for RTMP streams (fixes #3144). LAV Splitter: Fix missing tracks in (m2)ts files (fixes #5047). LAV Video Decoder: Fix a rare crash when checking the compatibility with hardware decoding (fixes #4407). Updated ffmpeg and libbluray libraries. So you have 2 options to provide you a solution. Install LAV Codec pack (Version 0.63-18 or higher) and set your merits to use this for RTMP. Use VLC as an external player for RTMP. If you need any help with codecs give me a shout, if you quote my post i will get a notification otherwise i'll probably forget lol Edited March 30, 2015 by Cheesegeezer
Luke 36887
the server already supports rtmp. it's just not an option in the html config page so hopefully there's a contributor who will like to add that

Luke 36887
The IPTV plugin has been updated with a new configuration screen to match the look and feel of the rest of Emby Server. I think you'll find it much more enjoyable to use and configure now. Thanks.
