Hey all just started playing with MVC 3d files. I can get stereoscopic player to open and start playing, but its not the right 3d format not full screen and does not return to mb3 when it ends or when I click stop.. So I need help putting in the right arguments to get it to open full screen no logo nvidia 3d mode then return to MB3 when I press stop or movie ends.. Help appreciated and thanks in advance

Edit: got it opening in 3d vision mode but still not going full screen or returning to media browser automatically.

i cant remember putting any special arguments in. all i remember doing was watching a 3d film, set all the settings to the way i wanted and let it play in full screen then close the program. next time i opened it, it was full screen and remembered my settings. I just setup a command on my harmony with eventghost to close the program.

On their faqs page is has these arguements

-fss   Switches to full screen mode. This parameter parameter is only valid if one of the source parameters is used. -fsu   Switches to unscaled full screen mode. This parameter parameter is only valid if one of the source parameters is used.

or for all of them click this link

i also created this write up when i setup stereoscopic player

Ok so some troubleshooting btw  Sorry I should have said in op I was aware of the commands I just cant get them to work.

SO... The command combinations I have tried:

{path}  opens the player and plays it in stereoscopic mode (after I got 3d setup properly in nvidia control panel) but not fullscreen and I then have to use the mouse to close the player after video finish's

I found this post here http://mediabrowser.tv/community/index.php?/topic/4057-2d3d-mvc-m2ts/ one second from bottom post number 10  he/she uses the commands "-file:{0} -fss -termend -nl"

in media browser classic.

ok so first command there -file:{0} results in "error file 0 not found" so I changed it to -file:{PATH} which opens the file and plays it I then added the rest of the commands

"-ol:NVIDIA"should play it nvidia 3d mode"-fss" for full-screen or "-fsu" for unscaled full-screen (guessing this is 1:1 pixel mapping) then "-termend to exit stereoscopic player when video finish's or when exit from full-screen mode. and finally "-nl" to hide the stereoscopic player logo at the start of video. NOTE: The "-file:"is need at the start to use the -fss or the -fsu commands.

So in the arguments I typed in "-file:{PATH} \ol:NVIDIA \-fsu \-termend \-nl" But stereoscopic player ignores everything it seems except the {PLAY} command it opens and plays in 3d but not full-screen and at the end I have to manually go back to media browser.

With just "{PATH}" or "-file:{PATH}" it does the same thing, plays in 3d but not full-screen and does not go back to media browser at the end so the arguments are not working.. Any ideas how to get the rest of the commands working?

Yahoo I finally got it to work. NOTE THIS IS FOR STEREOSCOPIC PLAYER MKV FULL 3D MVC RIPS MADE WITH MAKEMKV

In Media browser in external player section select 3d then tick the box "mk3d" then all your mvc 3d rips rename the extension from ".mkv" to ".mk3d".

paste the below into arguments box

{PATH}  -termend -nl -ol:NVIDIA

if you have AMD video card and are using hd3d use the following

{PATH}  -termend -nl -ol:AMD

-termend will close stereoscopic player when you leave full-screen or when the video ends. -nl will stop stereoscopic player from showing at logo when it starts and "-ol:NVIDIA"/"-ol:AMD" will tell the player what sort of video card you are using.

In stereoscopic player open file/settings

I selected

"allow on single instance of player"

"show Mouse pointer in full-screen mode" you may want to uncheck this if using a media center remote

"show toolbar in full-screen mode" again uncheck if you don't want the toolbar

"start playback immediately after open"

"enter full-screen mode after open"

After that when movie is selected in media browser it should open stereoscopic player change it to full-screen tell it what 3d mode(video card dependent) to switch to not show a logo and then close when the video ends or when you leave full-screen returning you to media browser. Hope this helps someone cheers.

Got it sorted by using "AdvancedMCERemoteMapper" Anyone know where I can find a list of stereoscopic player keyboard shortcuts?

Just like to say thanks for posting your solutions as I have just installed MBT and SP. I was having the same issues as you, until I found your post. Very helpful! Thanks!

The SP keyboard shortcuts are only shown in window mode, but they work in full screen mode. So, for example, Play is CTL-P, Pause is CTL-B & Stop is CTL-S. To exit is CTL-E.

  • 7 months later...

Did you ever get this sorted? I finally rebuilt got SP working right, and thanks to this thread it opens and plays perfectly. I am just trying to get the remote to work.

Thanks.
