mediaGuy 8
How do I setup the addon to only show my setup shares when first entering. I see my shares (such as movies) but also get "Latest Movies" and "Unwatched Movies". Then below them I get a ton of folders such as "BoxSets", "Playlists" and "Photos". Angelblue05 4130
Which skin are you using?
mediaGuy 8
Standard Confluence. I'm debating using NOX if that makes a difference.
Angelblue05 4130
The level of customization depends on the skin you pick. With Nox, you can modify your home menu to only show what you want.
mediaGuy 8
I'm not talking about the home Kodi menu. I mean when I enter the first level of MB (initially enter the addon) from the Kodi menu. I just want to see my "legacy" shares, not the extra 49 folders somehow created. Some of them like "Latest", "In Progress" and "Next Up" definitely come from MB because they use the same custom icons as my MB shares are have them for each share. I don't know how to better explain it. It's almost like MB is in library mode, not legacy file? Edited March 27, 2015 by mediaGuy
Angelblue05 4130
Oh. We can't change these. They are preset paths built upon your server media folders and more. What you need to do is add a shortcut menu pointing to the shares you want to use and stop using the Kodi add-on launch (where you see every possible nodes available). If you are unsure of how to proceed, I'd suggest you try the Titan skin found in the Mediabrowser add-on repository. It does that part automatically for you. If you want to further customize it, there's a skin section in settings, where you can modify the home menu how you'd like it. It is very user friendly. http://mediabrowser.tv/community/index.php?/topic/9255-titan-mediabrowser-skin-for-xbmc/ Edited March 27, 2015 by Angelblue05
Vidman 589
But with a custom skin you won't need to enter the addon this way

I'm used to MBC where I enter the app and just see the list of shares - assumed I could have something similar in Kodi. No issue making a Kodi menu directly for each now that I know my original planned route isn't possible. Just curious, is it Kodi, MB or a combination of both creating all those "extra" folders? Thanks.
Angelblue05 4130
It's the add-on. Every custom skin builds upon this information, so you understand why it can't be changed.
mediaGuy 8
OK, I setup NOX and added shortcuts pointing to the individual shares - works fine. Next problem... When I go directly into the shares, it's almost like Kodi identified them as music folders. My icons are square (cropped) and I only get the view options that I would in Kodi's music library. If I go into the share through the main Kodi MediaBrowser addon entry point, everything looks fine and I have all my view options like infowall available to choose from. Any way to fix this?
