Chuck 17
ServerWMC has been working fine, but suddenly it stopped reading the tuners (Ceton InfiniTV - 4 tuners). I've been running ServerWMC as a service without issue. I've checked to be sure ServerWMC is running (version 1.0.0.34 build: 1150), I've tried both starting the ServerWMC service first, and MediaBrowser (versuib 3.0.5289.18702) service first, but no go. I've validated that the tuner card is working as expected using both the Ceton tuner diagnostics and Media Center. Thoughts?

krustyreturns 191
The logs don't show any errors. What do you mean by "suddenly it stopped reading the tuners"?
Chuck 17
I'm getting continuous e-mail alerts ... Media Browser: Refresh Guide failed. A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond 192.168.5.200:9080 When I open ServerWMC and go to the Live TV tab, the Tuners Found dialog is no longer showing Tuners found. In the Live TV section of Media Browser Server configuration I'm getting errors ... Status: Unavailable (A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond 192.168.5.200:9080) And, under Refresh Guide Data, Last result: (failed) I have not changed the configuration for ServerWMC, currently set at port 9080, and ServerWMC plugins configuration in on Media Browser Server set to port 9080. The 192.168.5.200 ip address is the WMC and both ServerWMC and Media Browser server are installed on this machine. Live TV has been working fine until recently. PS: on a quick separate note (that should probably be put in the feature request ), when Live TV was working, there seemed to be a stream/buffer challenge with the Web client where there's a considerable delay at times. It may be helpful if there was an option to adjust the transcoding resolution down and/or increase the buffer size.

And since the log says it found them, I am assuming the tuners are fine in swmc. So yeah, it seems like something broke the socket connection between mbs and swmc. Are you running something new that may be taking that port? or have the firewall settings changed? You could temporally turn off the fire wall just to test. Or start a webrowser (or telnet) on the mbs machine and enter the ip address and port for serverwmc, if it connects you should see that in the status tab of swmc at the bottom of the window. Chuck 17
Not sure what was going on, but I've got it running now. Both the Media Browser web administration interface, and the ServerWMC configuration show the tuner. I uninstalled ServerWMC, deleted the program files folder and the program data folder, removed the firewall rules that are enabled on first launch, and reinstalled ServerWMC. Now it works. krustyreturns 191
I'm not sure what is going on either, but that's okay since it works .
fromthewoods 0
I too just had this issue where the EPG was gone but my tuners were working and MBS said everything was AOK. The only indication of anything wrong (other than no EPG) was the message about the guide failing to refresh. Refresh Guide failed. 2 days ago A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond [fe80::7ce7:aed8:c751:ebc2%4]:9080 I tried reinstalling ServerWMC and fiddling with the Firewall but nothing worked. I loaded Media Center on my ServerWMC box and scheduled a future recording. (One thing about my setup, I'm running ServerWMC on a different computer than where MBS is installed) Then I forced a guide refresh and voila, it downloaded the guide. . Hope this helps someone.
