to those using jriver as an external player - does MBT lose focus?

Hey all,

I have been having issues lately with the internal player ever so slightly stuttering every now and then.  I know this did not used to happen, but I have not been watching much lately, so can't say for sure when it started.

At any rate, going to give jriver a go and see what happens.

I've managed to get it set up so it launches full screen and bitstreams fine.  The stop button even closes the app returns me to mbt - I know some had to use a separate close button.

What my problem is, is after selecting play in mbt and before jriver loads, you can see that mbt loses focus - the task bar appears for a second, then jriver opens.  Now, after jriver closes, mbt does not have focus (task bar is still there), so my remote does not work.

Has anyone else had this issue and figured out a way around it?

I only got this setup last night and may need to test more, but this does not happen every single time (i.e. sometimes focus is not lost and all works well), but it does happen more often than not.

I also tried using mpc-hc and it never has this 'losing focus' issue.

Weird.  The focus issue seems to have resolved itself, while at the same time closing jriver now does not directly go back to mbt, but to the jriver standard view.  Whatever, I have easily mapped a close command to the stop button on my remote.  all seems to be well now.
