Erik 120
Hello, Just looking for any other input. I'm upgrading one of my media HDD so I attempted a straight copy of 2TB of media with windows 8.1 (explorer drag and drop). Got to about 70% then stopped, just say there. Tried it again and it got to about 75%. Started over using robocopy and it's got past 80% so far (fingers crossed). Any other tools people use or what might be causing the standard copy method from failing. Thanks, Erik
navanod 12
I have had to move files between drives setting up a new file server and replacing older drives, always found robocopy to be the best option.
Erik 120
Thanks, robocopy shows an I/O error at about 90% of the copy... I think this is a controller card issue now. Works fine except for constant large file transfers. Thanks, Erik

AdrianW 1052
I use teracopy personally - I think it works really well +1 for Teracopy - it's an excellent tool, I use it as my default copy manager. It's brilliant when moving and/or copying from multiple source folders to multiple destination folders - all the operations get queued up to prevent thrashing the drives.
