jasonmcroy 315
I have a question regarding NFO and XBMB3C. Are the creation of NFO files in my episode folders necessary when I am using the plugin? I ask because when I updated the server yesterday to the latest Dev release, I added some more TV show episodes to my folders and then when I was browsing my library in XBMC the ordering of my episodes was in a very odd order from what it has been. I did some hunting and realized that with the new update NFO files were not being created in my folders. I found the setting in MBS to change that, re-scanned the affected folders, noted that NFO files were now there and then browsed my library again and all was well. The episodes were now in the correct order and named correctly like it was before. I am just curious because I originally thought the purpose of being able to create the NFO files would be for users that use MBS to get the metadata but still use XBMC (without the plugin) to view their library. I am just curious really as I don't fully understand how all of this works "under the hood" so to speak. Thanks. -Jason
Luke 37046
It saves as xbmc expects
xnappo 1593
XBMB3C does not use the NFO files in any way/shape/form. So - if you are having problems with the server, please ignore the NFO file an let us know the issue. xnappo
jasonmcroy 315
I am not having any trouble with the server that I know of. I just know that when I don't have nfo files in my media folders and I browse my library the naming of the files and the order of my season episodes is odd. They look nice and orderly when there are nfo files in the media folders. I dont know that it IS an issue, I was just being curious and is why I asked how/if the xbmc plugin uses that file. - Jason Edited July 14, 2014 by jasonmcroy
xnappo 1593
The plugin does not use it, perhaps the server is reading it? xnappo
