PoBear 19
Hi What database are Music Videos ;looked up against? I have a number of files flagged with a red warning triangle but as none of the files appear to have a link to a database I can't figure out why there is a problem, some the videos are unique but several are just different versions of the same song with one version recognised and another not! Amy ideas Thanks
PoBear 19
Sorry to bump. But does anybody have any thoughts on this?
Deathsquirrel 741
I don't believe they are checked against anything at all at this point. The only metadata scraper for that media type in the UI is themoviedb and I didn't find any music videos when I did a couple searches on the site. a3gill 10
Not sure if it matters to you, but I also noticed that the default Image Fetcher was themoviedb. I ended up with some badly matching images. So, unless your music videos are mostly filmed concerts that we're distributed on some form of optical disc, I'd recommend pushing it to the bottom and moving Screen Grabber up. At least until valid scrapers emerge. If I wasn't clear, I too am interested in improved Music Video support. I love the tying to existing artists, but that is about where it stops. I understand that without scrapers, your hands are tied. Perhaps someone in the community has the resources or influence to get something like that off the ground. *Just thinking outloud... Does Paladia or MTV offer anything like this? Thanks.
Chris Jones 13
This was one feature i was thinking of implementing as it's something i would like to use myself. Are there any sources in particular that are preferred? When i was going to implement my own media manager software i was looking at using imvdb.com.
Kmark40 3
Same here. I would love to see imvdb.com integrated as an external id
Luke 37049
Same here. I would love to see imvdb.com integrated as an external id Adding a field for it is easily added, sure. Although at the moment it won't have much function.
Kmark40 3
Adding a field for it is easily added, sure. Although at the moment it won't have much function. That's my ignorance showing. Unfortunately, my knowledge extends to "put the required ID in the box and all the good stuff appears." Appreciate what you guys are doing. Chris Jones 13
I did briefly look into implementing this but their API is currently in beta and it's going to be a while before i'm familiar enough with the server code to integrate it properly. PBzeer 6
I have a number of music videos from YouTube. I simply create my own artwork and .xml file for them.
