Johnobas 0
Hi, I bought the Media Browser Client for my iPad, it's all setup, it shows my whole library, but the audio does not work. Please help me out, thanks.

hakras 5
I am seeing this as well (I didn't try headphones). I recently installed Media Browser Server and haven't done much with it. This morning, I installed the iOS app on 2 iPhones. They are both the 5c model. One works perfectly and the other has no audio. Is there a setting in iOS that is the culprit? Solution hakras 5 Posted July 19, 2014 Solution Share Posted July 19, 2014 Johnobas, I solved my issue by unmuting the iPhone. Hopefully, your device is set to mute as well

Macburp 109
+1 for this problem. I'm trying to play an avi file using the IOS app and got no sound. Sound is switched on in the app I think, and volume for other apps on the ipad (eg. iPlayer) is fine. Moving the volume slider had no effect. Any ideas? I'm using an iPad Air. DrWatson 62
I found I too had no audio but only on mp4 files that had an mp3 soundtrack not sure if that helps at all. I am away from the server at the moment and will provide logs if needed (or someone else can confirm).

SirMoby 0
This seems to be a common issue. I've had MB working as my main entertainment system for a couple of years now. Use it on my laptops, desk tops, as my main TV, 2 kindles and even tested my Android phones. Works great! Thank you. Installed the IOS version this morning and it works with headphones plugged in but no sound through speakers. I can play music through the speakers but not MB. I'll do some more checking this evening but I just wanted to point out that it's happeningin a few places.
SirMoby 0
OK. I do have AirPlay and I can select between iPad, Headphones and the AirPort. Music plays fine in all 3 devices. Videos play in all 3 devices. Media Browser, only Headphones and AirPort. No sound from the iPad. It also appears that Media Browser doesn't handle MP3 but I can play those just fine through the IOS music app.
SirMoby 0
Tried using the HTTP interface and the sound worked great. The image quality was terrible but the sound was there just fine.

Macburp 109
Egg on face. My missus had turned the ringer off. Turned it back on and the app now makes a noise. In my defense, I'm an android man, didn't know there was a hardware switch until yesterday. Thanls.
oldschool 7
I can confirm that both my iPads now work. I will concur with Macburp that on one of my iPads the ringer volume was all the way down, and when I turned it up, the MB3 app had audio again, but if that was the actual problem, then I would think the main volume should be the one the iPad is using to adjust its volume and not the system sounds volume. It's kind of weird that sometimes you hit the rocker on the side, and it will affect the ringer and sometimes it affects the app audio. The problem as I saw it was that we would play a video using the app and I would turn the volume using the side rocker all the way up, and it would not play any audio. Well, I want to also report that my second iPad we were having some other issues. The iOS app looked to be up to date, but it wouldn't play any videos at all - I would click on something, and it would just sit and spin forever. Even after a reboot of the iPad it wouldn't play. What solved the problem was I deleted the app and re-downloaded it, and then all of a sudden everything is working beautifully. Kind of weird that happened, but I'm up and running on both devices - thanks for all your hard work!
