Here is what i found in the xbmb3c log

In mbs log at the same time:

This portion says there is no backdrop but there is one when i look in metadata manager

 

Well, I think I just replicated your problem...

 

Is the error always stating the same image ?

Please note the bold selection... Is that always the same in the errors ?

I'm now looking at the code of XBMB3C and see that this is a placeholder tag that shouldn't ever be returned.

 

Could you please confirm this ? If so, I think we can have a solution very fast :-)

And to make it even more creative, it's only occurring with Favorite TV shows and Favorite Movies :-)

 

I checked the json output and this url is actually returning from the MB3 server.

I have the problem replicated myself now too...

 

For now I'll make a temporary workaround that only the primary backdrop will be used but I'm guessing it's somewhere a little flaw in either XBMB3C or MB3.

@saitoh183, I've created a small fix i the helperservice for the titan skin.

Could you please try this testversion out for me to see if it resolves your issues ?

 

In short; The errors were stating that the extrafanart could not be found. With the change I only get the main fanart image of every item, let's see if that works :-)

Yes, that is exactly the problem... There are muliple fanart images returned by the json from the server but there's only one image...

So, with the script I just gave you I think things are solved for now...

Does that mean if i had extra fanart/thumbs the problem wouldnt happen?

Yes, that's why the problem was so hard to find :-)

I discovered the issue by accident today when I added a TV show without extra fanart to my own setup...

Ok...So far your fix seems to work. I had a few timeouts issues with the server x.x.x.190 but on my restored server (the orginal server x.x.x.198) there hasnt been any yet. So if i were to add just 1 extrafanart, this problem would be gone...man, had i known what the 2 meant in the URL, we would have caught this sooner. :)

Well i got the timeout error on helix and gotham shortly after startup...seems to only happen once

Well, this doesn't have anything to do with the fix as the fix I send you is for the Titan skin.

The errors you see in the logs are related to the XBMB3c add-on.

 

Looks like there's some kind of error in the latest xbmb3c addon, I've got the error too on my machine.

 

I'll look into the code for you to see what has changed recently, maybe I can find a cause

I noticed this in my mbs log for the gotham machine when the timeout happened

Same here, only happens once in a while...

The error is stating a timeout, so connection from xbmb3c to MB3 server fails.

Anyone else experiencing this ?

For me, the timeout always occurs once after the start of XBMC.

It definately is not Titan related, because it also occurs with other skins.

After the error, everything seems to work but fanart rotations in the homescreen (in all skins I tried)

same...it doest say the fanart rotation fails

Oh the error about the dummy image file isn't related to the issue...
