There needs to be a better way to deal with the repo....I honestly believe both stable and beta repo should be on the same repo. Maybe a discussion needs to happen....

Yes, that's what I think too... Just under a different name so you can switch between versions.

The titan skin has this too so you can always fallback to the stable version if something isn't working.

In my case the stable versions are on official XBMC repo as I have a large userbase that just installs the skin from within XBMC itself (no additional repo's).

Besides that I have the beta versions of my skin hosted on MB3 repo to get users also interested in MB3... :-)

Thanks a bunch

You're welcome... Now I have to remember to update the skin in both repo's ;-)

Small request,

Could you add the possibility to save tile layout/configuration. This way if something goes wrong we arent stuck recreating all our shortcuts

Hi Saitoh,

This is allready in place. Your menu preferences are saved by the skinshortcuts script. If you want you can backup the config, as I recall the settings are saved in folder addons_data, subfolder script.skinshortcuts

Question,

Using this skin, i have noticed that my log file can get pretty big pretty fast (currently 100Mb+) and in turn causes it to not load via the webclient.

When i look, i figure its the Tile image rotation that is causing the issue

Is there anything that can be done to reduce the logging..Maybe turn the message above to a short of debug option?

Based on your log message I think this messages are purely caused by the XBMB3c addon getting your item lists.

Did you enable debug logging in the MB3 server or something ? If so it's no wonder your log grows that fast, please disable debug logging in production scenario's. Only use it for... debugging :-)

The helper service for Titan does only get the images once at startup of XBMC and after that once per hour (and gets only changes).

How many of these messages do you see and how often do they appear in your log (what's the timedifference between each message) ?

Very frequent...multiple times per second since both machine are being logged repeatedly.

'], do you know if anything has changed in the background threads as of version 0.9.714 ?

It looks like may requests are send to the server by the addon... I'm pretty sure this cannot be the helperservice from Titan skin as it will only do the request once an hour.

See the above posted log entries from user saitoh183

That is the server log, not the XBMC log right?

This is probably caused by the 'Show Indicators' setting.  Unfortunately there is data we need on a per-episode basis to display those indicators.  @@Luke is working on adding them to the episode data ( :D :D) - but for now, please try turning 'Show Indicators' off and see if it goes away.

Does the log entries appear only when browsing the libraries in XBMC or do they even appear if XBMC is idle ?

The XBMB3C addon has some background-threads which get information every 30 seconds, like new movies, episodes, global background images etc.

For a quick test you could try to go into the XBMB3C addonsettings and disdable all the background threads, after that restart XBMC and watch log logfile...

I will check my own log too once I get home, as I have 4 xbmc clients at home I should maybe also see a lot of logging...

With Titan you even don't even need those indicators as they're provided by the skin itself.

BTW: great to hear that that data will be added to the episode level, that should be a lot data-saving!

OK, you mean that your log is silent now ?

Please enable the background services again one-by-one and check which one is driving the log crazy...

Besides that I have to notice that we might nog be able to avoid these calls to the server as we have to know what data has changed (we pull data, mb3 doesn't push it to the addon).

It does not happen with Titan uninstalled?

@saitoh183, you can also try with Titan installed (remember to also uninstall the helper service as that is the one pulling images from the server).

But first try out with enabling/disabling the background services...

Thanks for your help and patience!

I disabled all services on gotham and started a clean server log...Kodi still has all default services enabled...the log shows hits from the kodi machine and it seems they are in chunks

I just checked my own serverlog and it's quite empty. I even don't see the messages you posted at all..

I am running the .713 version of XBMB3C and stable release of MB3 server.

@saitoh183, maybe you're running dev version of the MB3 server ?

Is that with the xbmb3c background services enabled or disabled ?

We have to narrow down if it's related to the xbmb3c addon or the Titan helper service OR (also possible) the MB3 server itself.

Like I said, I checked my own MB3 server log and didn't see that notice at all...

If you want to test the Titan skin helper service:

1. close down xbmc

2. go to folder "addons" from your xbmc appdata folder

3. open folder "script.titanskin.helpers"

4. open the file service.py in a texteditor like notepad or notepad++

5: somewhere above in the file (line 38) change "dodebuglog" from False to True

doDebugLog = True

After that start XBMC and let it run for about 10 minbutes (or even longer).

You should be able to see in the log that it will once get the images once (at startup) and after that it only sets the images from memory every 1 minute..

Just to be sure you can send me that logfile so I double check it.

With every service off (Kodi and Gotham) Log doesnt show any messages.

I will start turning them on one by one
