Doctor Bob 9 Posted August 1, 2014 Share Posted August 1, 2014 (edited) I have a PC running Windows 7 Pro SP1 64bit. This PC is conneted to an old analog TV set, as such, I have set the lowest screen resolution possible: 800x600. While in this screen resolution the Metadata Manager does not display any media folders, there is only a blank screen as shown in the file attachment. Once I move the screen resolution up to or above 1280x1024 the media folders reappear (I have the PC now connected to a vga video monitor in order to play with the resolution). I am using Firefox to access the Media Browser Server. Off category but related, I also discovered while in screen resolution 800x600 and the Media Centre Browser Classic when set to poster view the screen freezes. I can not select any of the posters or options. Once I increase the screen resolution to 1280x1024 or above it works again. Can anyone else reproduce this fault? Perhaps my setup is at fault but I thought I should pass this info on just in case there is something more to it. swhitmore 781 Posted August 1, 2014 Share Posted August 1, 2014 I just tested at 800x600 with Chrome (don't have FF on my work laptop), and everything was fine. That's below the minimum res supported by your OS which is why you can only set the res down to 80)X600. I built him a Media Centre PC and he hooked it up to his old crt TV using a vga to base band video convertor. Hopefully he will buy a digital TV in the near future. Windows 7 bottoms out at 800x600. I think if I force it down to 640x480 would cause more display issues. Not a big deal though as these issues are workable. I just have to make sure that none of the video is set to view in poster mode. Since the tv is not workable as a video monitor you have to work on it via a Remote Desktop connection (logged in as another user) which is at a high enough resolution to work with the Metadata Manager.
