Please help.

I just finished re-installing Windows, and was in the process of installing MediaBrowser Server(downloaded new setup.exe from website). The following error appeared.

I have tried disabling my firewall and security, and have also tried "Clear ClickOnce Cache" as stated in some other topics. I have attached a copy of the install log.

I hope somebody is able to assist.

Thank you.

You have connection to the internet? Try to browse to a website.

If that's possible , maybe the MB servers are not available for the moment....

Thank you for your reply.

Internet connection is fine.

This issue has happened before (it's the reason I did the reinstall).

Originally, I was not able to update the client software (same error). This has been ongoing since the latest release came out. I decided to start with a clean install only today, because I was out of ideas.

What kind of incoming speed do you have on your connection?

It is simply encountering an error or timing out trying to download the file.  Could be a bad connection or your ISP or a proxy of some sort or a problem with our CDN in your part of the world (although their system status page does not indicate an issue).

Thank you for your help.

Installation of MediaBrowser Classic and Server has worked before on this machine. It's the update that didn't want to work. Installing the new version Client also worked on another computer, a few weeks ago. I ran the installation on the spare machine, because of the ongoing issue I was having with my main machine. The successful installation on the spare machine is what made me believe it was more a client side issue, and that is why I proceeded to do a wipe/reload on my main machine. Hope this information helps.

It appears I am now able to download both MediaBrowser Server and Classic without problem. I have not done anything to my system (just thought I would try again). So, no real outcome but its working, so YAY.

Thank you to ebr and sven for your assistance.
