Squeezlite DLNA

Hi All

recently I managed to did my little multiroom music streaming for all bedrooms kitchen dining room and bathroom.. with ceiling and wall speaker where possible.whith rasberry pi's and speaker running to all rooms with DAC to speakers and it works a treat.. best thing ever !

 

anyways this now appears on my mb3 server as a player as a DLNA.. i never tried playing anything to it as all the rasberry pi is just emulatiing logitechs squeezbox. and headless nothing is conected to to it apart from sound.

 

what would happen if I played a movie to it? would it acutally play it?

 

if anyone is interested i used https://sites.google.com/site/picoreplayer/home/news and it was really easy to set up.

 

i hope i make sense of what i'm trying to say

does the same with me, i can stream music to them from the web client.

 

EDIT: atm i prefer to use iPeng for music, running 3 instances of squeezeplay on one PC each pointing to a different audio card
