rainturtle 0
I have two Roku3 Devices that had been running both the offical and the beta client just fine from a Windows 8.1 Server. Both Roku 3 boxes suddenly stopped working yesterday and can't find the server. Even after multiple restarts and attempts at manual entry of IP address and port. The server still connects fine on my android phone and on an iPad client but not the Rokus. Any ideas where to start trouble shooting.
speechles 1917
Are the rokus able to connect to the internet at all? Are they hardwired Ethernet or WiFi? I'm going to guess WiFi. Did your router assign the media server a different IP? The roku beta app should be able to self detect the servers running on your network, unless on WiFi and not connected/bad signal. You should not need to manually put an IP. You pick from the list it detects. bennymac 47
I have had this with a second MB installation, Version 3.0.5347.22095 and Roku 1.25.The Roku wouldn't find the server via a Scan or by entering in IP manually. I tried it again last night and it worked only when entering the IP in. Finding via scan still doesn't work. However, another installation of the same MB and Roku version doesn't have this problem.
