MB Plus bug with MBC

Just a small bug. Here's the scenario.

- In the TV section on the MBP "home screen", select one of the shows in "Next Up".

- Select the episode furthest to the left, i.e. the one that is next up. Let's call this episode 2x03.

- From the episode screen, play the episode.

- When the episode ends, we're back at the episode screen. But here's the bug. It's the episode screen for the previous episode, 2x02.

- Clicking on the "next episode" arrow at the bottom of the screen correctly goes to 2x04. Going back from 2x04 correctly gives us 2x03.

- Clicking on "the "previous episode" arrow at the bottom of the screen correctly goes to 2x02.

- if you've just watched 2x04 after 2x03, the episode screen also shows 2x02.

Happy to post log excerpts if you tell me where to look.

Yes this happens. I notice when I use the "next" button from the Chocolate details page to move to the next tv episode, after first selecting the episode from the mb plus tv channel, it will always resort to the first episode which was chosen.

Yeah, I'm not sure how compatible I can make the "next/prev" stuff in the main theme with the content coming from MB Plus but I'll have a look.

BTW - that MB Plus screen is designed to be the single interface for navigation and playback of those items.  You just arrow over to whichever item you wish to play and hit the "Play" button on your remote and off it goes.  If that item is resumable, it will resume it automatically.  Basically, it is designed to be a very quick and easy interface to get that particular series going right where you left off.

Personally, I never drill down any further which is why I've never seen this issue.

Okay, I just tried out the next/prev stuff from the detail screen coming from the MB Plus interface and it actually is working as it should so that part is okay.

What you guys are seeing, I'm thinking isn't actually related to MB Plus at all.  I think I've seen this same behavior reported with Chocolate in general but have never been able to track down exactly what causes it.

Try this - go into any TV series and navigate to the details of an episode, then next to the next one and play it.  Stop it and you'll come back to the first episode you were on.

This happens to me with just using chocolate, just as you describe, and I don't have mb plus installed.  I assumed it was by design, and not a bug.

It isn't so much by design as a product of how the next/prev from the detail page was implemented (which was a ways into the life of MB).

The same thing happens if you go back to the list from the details page without playing anything.  You return to the list in the position you left it as opposed to in the position of the item you "next'ed" to.

I may be able to address it but I'm not going to try a change like that in the beta cycle.  I may look at it for the future but it has always been this way.
