mm_half3 0
Hello, About 30% of the fanart for my movie collection is not showing up in Media Center Classic. The fanart.jpg files show up in Media Center Theater, and in the Media Center web client. I have re-installed the server and client a few times, and wiped the database, but the problem fanart does not display after a new installation or deletion of database files. Would use media browser theater, but can't get it to play video without stuttering. The versions of each app are: Media browser server for windows (installed on win 7 pro 64 bit): Version 3.0.5366.22005 Media browser Classic running on same system as Media Browser server: Version 3.0.207 The media library is a networked file server, all the movie details & fanart were downloaded using ember media manager to scrape the images & details, and have been used in xbmc clients without problems for months. All movie folders have two copies of the fanart file, one with the title fanart.jpg and the other labeled with the same name as the mkv file in the folder, and a -fanart.jpg extension. Tests using the web client with a local browser and from a browser on another system both display the fanart missing in Media Center Classic. Any ideas on what might be going on, or how I might get classic to show the fanart for my collection. Thanks, Edited September 14, 2014 by mm_half3
ebr 14913
You are missing more than fanart (which we call backdrops). Looks like you are also missing primary images. But, the text color in that screen shot is non-standard as well. Have you modified the chocolate theme? Please post a MBC log. mm_half3 0
A MBC log can be found at: http://paste2.org/K8YN2C7J . The chocolate theme was not modified, but I did modify the default wmc theme using the Media Center Themer app. My main purpose in using Media Center Themer, was to better integrate Media Browser Theater with wmc, relocated its startup icon into the main wmc menu, instead of buried in gallery extras, then found out MBT does not play video well in my setup.... went back to MBC. Pretty sure the missing fanart problem existed with the default WMC theme, but will change back to verify. Also, in my last re-installation of server, I disabled the default "downloading artwork & meta data from the internet" options to see if that was the problem, since I already download the artwork when scraping movies using ember media manager. Going to enable them again to see if it makes any difference, with the backdrops. Not entirely sure those were missing for the movies that did display fanart, no backdrops are showing up now. ebr 14913
Upgrade your server. It is too far behind.
mm_half3 0
Really? Yesterday I saw a message in the server web interface saying a new version was available, and to shutdown and manually update. Downloaded server from the MediaBrowser.tv downloads area, selected official release, and server is reporting its up to date with 3.0.5366.22005. Are you asking me to install a later development nightly? Edit: odd I do see a line in the log file pasted identifying server as: 2014-09-14 11:39:05.5260,Info,,Server version: 3.0.5340.21263,1,Application I just checked the web interface again and it is reporting 3.0.5366.22005. How to Report a Problem I did not read your first line closely, and now think what I have been calling missing fanart, are the primary images, and as you point out both are missing in the image attached in the first post. What are the primary images? Edited September 14, 2014 by mm_half3
Solution ebr 14913 Posted September 15, 2014 Solution Share Posted September 15, 2014 Maybe you aren't connecting to the server you think you are. The reason the images aren't working is because MBC 207 can't properly talk to server 5340.

The reason the images aren't working is because MBC 207 can't properly talk to server 5340. ehhh…can't believe it…staring me in the face the entire time . I kept thinking that IP, 192.168.0.4, did not make sense, when I was seeing it in the logs, but never thought hard enough to draw the connection. Its the first test media browser server I setup a little over a month ago, to see if wmc/Media Browser was a viable option for the win 7 system I am forced into using in order to watch & record premium live TV from my cable provider. Not even sure if I downloaded it from the official media browser repository. Spent a day putzing with the test server, moved on to the actual htpc system, then forgot it was still installed and running as a service….disabled it, forced MBC to use the server running locally on the system its installed on in the MBC configurator, and magically all the backdrops, and primary images are displayed in MBC. Thank you very much ebr, your on point comment, saved me from using more hours on top of those already spent today trying to track down something right in front of me. At least I am real familiar with the configuration/installation structure of Media Browser on windows now, and am a pro at installing/uninstalling Media Browser Edited September 15, 2014 by mm_half3
